i’m back!

 oh tumblr. how i forgot i even had you! But i’m back! sleepy after a bit of a night last night but as i am now unemployed sorting this out has become tomorrows job :) so i shall catch ya then!!

cannot wait for the new album from these guys. With all the new releases it’s gonna be a good summer!! :)

Son not much going on in my life just now. bit bummed out this week, purely through having such an epic time last week and the realities of life have hit hard again. oy. it sucks to be in a funk but at least i know they tend not to last too long.

sooo, last week, best their uk doppelgangers. God knows how they are getting away with using the same name tho. Mainly went for Save your Breath who were pretty cool. Done an epic cover of a sugababes sone, this pop goes punk thing that’s happening just now, i like!

Tuesday we went to the DCA to see ‘Let the right one in’ which was pretty cool. Apart from the swimming pool scene, that was tacky. God help the Hollywood remix, they’ll destroy it as they always do. Still in amazement i have now seen more swedish language films in dundee than i did when i was in sweden!

So roll on Thursday and Cobra Starship. Going into this week i was wayy more stoked to be seeing We The Kings than the cobras, not entirely sure why tho. But dear god it was amazing. We missed Cash Cash cos i got the timings muddled so got in and settled then it was Sing It Loud. I had never seen these guys before (they were saying this was their first UK dates) and i’m now in love. And Nate, their bassist is my new favourite person in the whole wide world. From the top to the end of the set he just bounced about going daft. It was immense!

Then up to cobra starship. was blown away by them, Gabe is great on stage, a lot of bands seem to lose the banter between tracks but they kept it up. Vicky looked fab (i bought that dress too, though she rocks it bettert than i ever could!!) and they just all looked like they were having a blast.

and it all just went in far too quickly! Travis from WTK joined them on stage along with Pat from Sing it Loud and a bit of a party was had by all. Gabe tried to be cool and chuck the mic over his shoulder at the end just as the lights were going down, but managed to smack the guy standing behind him in the head with it. it was a wierdly fitting finish though :) Couldn’t hang back after the gig to see the guys but Pat from sing it loud was up on the balcony with us. Nice fella.

So mad drive back up for work then back down to glasgow for we the kings. Out of sight were up first. Was v impressed with the fact their bassist was wearing glamour kills. instantly gonna make me like them really :)

but luckily i also like what they do. bought the album sampler. Tried to persuade the fella to givce me his t shirt ( he declined on the basis that he was wearing it) but then found out they are now sponsored by GK, so quite frankly he could ahve spared it.

Next up was Hey Monday. I want to like them i really do. I watrched their set but nothing about them gets me excited. Candy floss. Nice at the time but dissapears quickly.

Then on to We The Kings and they were awesome. We were down the side of the stage, so was beside the bands (previously mentioned bassist spent the set hovering above my head) but we had a problimatic pillar to contend with, Travis kept dissapearing behind it every time he stepped back!

Trav came out afterwords but there was too many 12 year olds to contend with so we couldn’t get near. It’s good to see that they do that though, too many bands just seem to want to leave as soon as they can.

So that was that week, next up slam dunk! Gonna do it on a seperate blog or it’s just gonna get to silly lengths!!
